Life, then location and finally doing what, exploring as many new areas as possible.
A pilgrim’s life is full of lessons: patience, perseverance, and an understanding that a profound journey is defined at varied paces, with occasional obstacles like rocks in the shoes and mixed with breathtaking sunsets. I have walked the path to Santiago de Compostela in Spain twice, but different routes: Camino Portugués and Camino Sanabrés.
When you run a marathon, you’ve essentially covered several of them through training; the only distinction lies in the moment of truth when self-doubt creeps in. Post-race, you may question whether you’d want to endure it again. I’ve completed numerous half marathons, but these three tracks are the most memorable ones and linger vividly in my memory.
I crafted a map to visually encapsulate the extent of my travels throughout life. Each route, a line connecting an origin and destination, holds profound significance. In the intervals, as I attempt to rest or navigate through turbulence-induced jitters, I find solace in my favorite rock album. Closing my eyes, I transport myself to the concert—jumping, singing, and reveling in the sheer joy of the moment. It’s a coping mechanism that, at times, works like a charm.
